Water Main Break or No Water
- Call the Utilities Department immediately using the numbers above.
- Report the address or nearest intersection and describe what you see.
- Stay away from flowing or standing water near a suspected water main break. Pavement and road shoulders may be unstable.
- Check the City’s service alerts for information about known outages or emergency repairs.
Sewer Backup
- Stop using water in the building. Do not flush toilets or run sinks, showers, dishwashers, or washing machines.
- Avoid contact with sewage. Keep children and pets away from affected areas.
- Call the Utilities Department before assuming the blockage is on your private service line. City crews can determine whether the public sewer main is involved.
Street Flooding, Blocked Catch Basins, and Illicit Discharges
Report street flooding, blocked catch basins, or suspected pollution entering the drainage system during business hours by calling (401) 845-5600.
